Training to be a baby massage instructor offers the opportunity for you to support other parents and carers as they discover how to bond and communicate with their babies through massage.

Becoming a baby massage instructor

Accredited teacher training in baby massage is offered by several organisations in the UK, with courses held at various locations, including some in Essex. Courses are typically between two and five days long and will cover topics such as:

– Cultural history and benefits of baby massage
– Health considerations and safety aspects
– Baby massage techniques
– Teaching and communication skills
– Relevant anatomy and physiology of infants
– Infant behaviour and development
– Running and marketing a successful business

Following successful completion of the training course, you will be qualified to teach baby massage to parents and caregivers, but will not be qualified to train others to become massages instructors.
