Essex Baby Review
The bumGenius Stay Dry 4.0 is a one-size nappy that promises to keep your baby dry and comforatable. Will it meet the mark?
The bumGenius Stay Dry is a one-size, pocket-style nappy that come with a two-piece insert for absorbancy. It is available in a variety of colours and designs.
I have decided to review the bumGenius Stay Dry 4.0 nappy as it seemed like the best all round nappy in their range. They are a one size nappy for 8-35 + lbs babies, and I started using them when my daughter was two months old.
They took a little time to get used to as I had to play around with the inserts and boosters to get the right combination. If I just used the nappy without a booster, in the day or at night, I found that there was some leakage even after an hour so they took a few attempts to get the right combination of boosters to avoid leaks! Once I had solve the leak problem, I found these nappies lasted between 3 and 5 hours depending on how wet my little one was.
I have been drying them on an airer and they have been taking the best part of a day to dry.
I am disappointed with the Velcro fastenings as they have worn quite quickly and now look a little tatty, they still stick well enough, but I am concerned that may go soon. I have found popper fastenings much better as they don’t show wear and tear nearly as much.
I really love the selection of colours and patterns available, my daughter looks very trendy in her nappy! However, it took me a while to figure out how to stop them from leaking and I would ideally like them to last a bit longer.
The bumGenius Stay Dry 4.0 retail at between £15 and £17, which I think is on the expensive side. For this reason, Essex Baby rates these nappies a 3.5 out of 5.
