How do you know Christmas is coming? When the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck rolls into town! The dates have been released, and this year the truck will be stopping at three locations in Essex.

As much as we might try to ignore them, there are a couple of annual Christmas adverts we just can’t help getting excited about – John Lewis, Sainsbury’s and, of course, the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck. Can you believe it’s 22 years old this year?

For many people the festive season doesn’t truly begin until these giants of the advertising world have hit our television screens, but Coca-Cola go one step further by bringing their creation into the real world.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour, which started on 11th November, will be visiting 42 locations across the UK, including our very own Southend-on-Sea and Harlow in November and Lakeside in December!

Where to see the truck in Essex

  • Southend-on-sea, Victoria Circus – 29th Nov
  • Harlow, Market Square – 30th Nov
  • Essex, Lakeside – 16th & 17th Dec

Anyone heading down to a tour location will get to have their photo taken with the iconic truck and pick up a free can of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke or Coca-Cola Classic for good measure.

This year there will be three different photo opportunities to get your best side. Either stand on the selfie bridge, on one of the sign-posted podiums, or step into a festive frame with your friends – all with the iconic Truck shining in the background.

Once the sun goes down, visitors will be treated to short Christmas light show, with Christmas carols and the opportunity to see your photo beamed live to the side of the Truck.

Snapchat users can also get an extra burst of festive cheer this year. Just use the hashtag #HolidaysAreComing and a special truck-related treat will appear on your post.

Before travelling with little ones, please remember that the Truck experience can have queuing times of up to an hour, so get there as early as possible and bring snacks!
