Let’s face it, being a mum means being busy with multiple jobs to do. So exercise often falls to the bottom of the ‘to do’ list and prioritising much needed ‘me’ time is tough.

Being active has many health benefits, helps to make you feel more energised plus is essential for getting into shape after baby and feeling good about your new mumma body.

Energy-boosting exercise cheats

To all my busy mums with no time to exercise – here are 10 ways you can boost your energy levels by sneaking in these easy movements:

1.Help baby get to sleep by walking slowly and gently rocking them into slumberland

2.Squat and brush and squat and brush – whether it’s your teeth or hair you do this daily so you can squat daily too!

3.When doing the dishes focus on pelvic floor squeezes and butt clenching

4.Do crunches holding bubba on your lap when having cuddles and bonding time

5.When bub has tummy time, so do you – but yours come in the form of push ups!

6.When playing with bubba, try doing some alternating stepping lunges as a form of entertainment for your young one

7.Join in at the playground rather than sit on the side lines

8.Before you sit on the sofa at night, take 30 seconds to perfect your plank

9.Use your stairs as much as possible to help burn extra calories and tighten your bum

10.As you brush your teeth try some simple calf raises to shape your lower legs

By incorporating these little movements into your everyday activities you can be sure that you will be strengthening and tightening your body daily!
