Essex Festival of Food and Drink at Cressing Temple Barns

Back with a bang for a seventh consecutive year, the Essex Festival of Food and Drink, sponsored by Adnams of Southwold will once again demonstrate exactly why the most “reem” of counties has a reputation for knowing how to party. Over 150 Artisan food and drink producers, free kids cookery classes, 2 open air food courts seating 600 visitors, live music and a wonderful party atmosphere.

Spirit of the Corn Festival at the Museum of Power
Sat 15 July & Sun 16 July 2017, 10.00am-4.00pm

Live music, talks and workshops, nature and spirituality, country crafts and food stalls. Miniature steam train OPEN Sunday only for rides (extra charge applies). ‘Astaria’ model village OPEN. ‘Marshall’ the Lilleshall pumping engine will be run by AIR and other oil / diesel engines will be running.

Summer Spectacular at Marsh Farm

Like a six-week-long festival, Marsh Farm will be holding their Summer Spectacular during the school holidays. Prepare yourself for magic shows and animal interactions. Play in the extensive indoor and outdoor play areas and run wild in the enormous inflatable village – all included with your entrance ticket! There are hours of fun to be had at Marsh Farm, with bouncy pillows, sand-pit, tractor town, tractor and trailer rides, den building, pony grooming and much more.

Brightlingsea Free Music Festival
Fri 4 – Sun 6 August 2017

The festival thrives on its status as a FREE event and aims to attract an audience of all ages, showcasing a mixture of new and established bands. Alongside the music acts there will be multiple stalls, bars and entertainment areas for all of the family.

Festival of Wheels in Billericay
Sat 5 August & Sun 6 August 2017,

The largest event of its kind in Essex, the Festival of Wheels gathers together the east coast’s rarest and most glamorous cars, bikes and trucks. In the kids’ area there will be a bouncy castle village supplied by Mega Inflatables, children and adults can enjoy a taste of what it’s like to pilot a monster truck in the pocket-sized replicas which can be driven around a designated course, fun fair rides that all of the family can enjoy, face painting, kids entertainers, racing car simulator (event, rides, inflatable, etc., will have an additional cost).

Food for Thorpe 2017

The Thorpe Food Festival will be held in five acres of countryside in Thorpe-le-Soken. On display will be a range of delicious foods and drinks, sampling of specialist beers, local farmhouse produce and street foods. Magician Michael J Fitch will be hosting the event and entertaining everyone with his comedy and kids’ magic shows. There will also be a kids’ area, a vintage fair, arts and craft activities and vintage cars on display.

Harlow Linkfest

Linkfest is a FREE family music festival event held in Harlow Town Park. There will be hours of live music with original performances and tribute bands. Great atmosphere with stalls, food, bar, children’s rides and other entertainment.

Kidz Big Bash at Garon Park

Fun for all the family at a brilliant price! Live On Stage – MR BLOOM from Cbeebies, plus Essex’s best children’s entertainers. There will also be: fairground rides, activities, workshops, trampolines, go kart area, bouncy castles, and walkabout characters – all included in the ticket price.
Price: Super early bird tickets for £7.00, tickets purchased closer to the event date will cost more.

Woodfest at Hatfield Forest

Held in the heart of Hatfield Forest, Woodfest offers a FREE intimate festival weekend that keeps nature at its centre. Suitable for all ages, the festival mixes music acts from folk to metal, with woodland produce, crafts, stalls, demonstrations and children’s activities. Having access to such the beautiful woodland and lake is a huge bonus for kids who just want to be up and active. Camping/Glamping is available, but pitches are selling fast so book soon.
