Brightlingsea Open Air Swimming Pool

Open: Saturday 15 July to Sunday 10 September at 10am to 6pm – excluding Wednesdays which is 12pm to 7.30pm (adults only 6pm – 7.30pm)
Outdoor pool with sun loungers available for hire, a tuck shop, and a smaller pool for the toddlers. There are also showers, changing rooms and toilets available. Season tickets can be purchased from Brightlingsea Sports Centre, just a short walk away. Membership options are available; alternatively you can pay on a ‘pay as you go’ basis. Parking is available outside. One adult (aged over 16 years) to two children under 8 years. Exceptions may apply at manager’s discretion. Sunbed hire charge £2.00.

Woodup Pool in Tollesbury
Woodrolfe Rd, Tollesbury, Maldon CM9 8SE
Woodup Pool is a FREE salt water amenity pool with an area of sand at one end. There is also a grassed area with picnic tables and two BBQ’s. A portable toilet is provided between June and September. Children should be supervised at all times as there are no life guards in attendance.Closed on the following dates:

– June 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th
– July 5th, 12th and 19th

Aqua Park, Festwake, in Basildon
Festival Leisure Park, Waterfront Walk, Basildon, Essex SS14 3WB
Open: Tuesday – Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays, various times
Festival Wakeboard Park is a state of the art wakeboarding complex situated next to Festival Leisure Park, Basildon – Essex’s only inflatable ‘total wipeout style course’. Costing only £15 per person for an hour session, including all safety briefings and a buoyancy aid. A wetsuit can be hired on the day for an additional £5 (Optional). For ages 6 and up.
Prices: From £20 per hour

Stay and Splash at the Paddocks
Long Road, Canvey Island, Canvey Island SS8 0JA
Open: 7 days a week from May, various times (check Facebook page for daily updates)
Play pool for children’s aged 0-8 years. Children over 8 with younger siblings are allowed but will be required to play calmly. SEN sessions every second Wednesday.
Prices: Children under 1 are Free with paying sibling; Children £3.50 for 1 session; Adults £1.50 for 1 session; Children £6 for all day; Adults £2.50 for all day.

Harlow Paddling Pools
Harlow Council has five FREE to use outdoor paddling pools.
Bush Fair paddling pool – By the Tye Green Bowls Club off Tilwicks Road (CM18 6LU)
Harlow Town Park paddling pool – Behind the Leah Manning Centre, off Park Lane.
Norman Booth paddling pool – By the Norman Booth Recreation Centre, Old Harlow (CM17 0EF)
Staple Tye paddling pool – By the Great Parndon Community Association off Abercrombie Way (CM18 6YJ)
Sumners paddling pool – By the Sumners Recreation Centre off Broadley Road (CM19 5SJ)
Open: From Monday 24 July 2017 to Monday 4 September 2017, 10.00am-6.00pm
Please be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty at the pools and no toilets on site. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.

King George’s Playing Fields Paddling Pools in Brentwood
Ingrave Road, Brentwood, Essex CM14 5AE
Open: From 10.00am-6.00pm throughout the school summer holidays, weather permitting, or unless otherwise stated. Call the Cafe in the Park on 01277 210714 to confirm before travelling.
The paddling pool area at King George’s Playing Fields has two pools, one of which has shallower water for younger child. Lifeguards are on site, but responsibility for children’s safety remains with parents/guardians. Refreshments and toilet facilities are in close vicinity. Use of the pools is for children under 12 years of age only.
Prices: £3 per child per 2 hour session. Accompanying adults are free of charge.

The Three Shells Beach Lagoon
Western Esplanade, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS1 1EE
Open: From 10am daily and closing times vary throughout the year.
The FREE to use lagoon at Three Shells Beach is located next to the pier and the Adventure Island amusement park. It is 1.1 metres at its deepest, allowing visitors to swim and paddle even when the tide is out.
