Essex Baby Review
Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure is a new stage show from the producers of Peppa Pig LIVE. Our Essex Baby reviewer was keen to find out whether the show is as exciting for little ones as it sounds.
When there’s trouble under the sea, the Octonauts dive into action!
Get ready to embark on an exciting new mission with our underwater adventure super heroes Captain Barnacles, Kwazii and Peso, in the brand new live stage show, Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure.
I didn’t know what to expect from a live action version of the Octonauts. My two children, aged 2 and 3.5 years, are regularly captivated by the TV series and would quite happily watch it for hours if I let them, so I was eager to find out whether this magic could be replicated on the stage.
Starring the full cast, the Octonauts and the Deep Sea Volcano Adventure takes you deep beneath the waves for around 90 minutes of interactive, musical adventures and excitement. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep my little explorers interested, as well as keep their imaginations sparked for days afterwards.
Without giving too much away, my children particularly enjoyed the puppet show at the end and being able to help steer the pod around the seabed. There was a wonderful, almost panto-like, atmosphere that we all found fantastic fun – it’s great to have the chance to act like a kid again!
Essex Baby Rating:
Overall, we found the Octonauts live show to be an entertaining family experience and one I’m sure my children will remember for a long time. For this reason, I rate the show 5 out of 5 and have recommended it to my friends.
