Jumping jellyfish! Octonauts fans are in for a treat as Captain Barnacles and Kwazii visit Lee Valley Park Farms on Saturday 1 July.
Families are invited to join the characters at the Waltham Abbey farm for a day of fun and excitement. The dynamic duo are leaving their Octopod to star in a mini show, Octonauts: To Your Stations. With plenty of audience participation, Captain Barnacles and Kwazii will be leading new recruits to become fully fledged Octonaut Cadets.
The interactive mini show will have four sitting throughout the day at 11:00, 12:30, 14:00 and 15:30. The Octonauts show is included in the entry fee, but there’s limited spaces so tickets must be reserved at the time of booking farm entry.
Things to do on the day
Another popular attraction who’ll be visiting for the day is Pete, a realistic 13 foot (4 metre) long animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex. Farm goers will feel like they’ve just stepped back into a different world – like Jurassic Park, but without the scary bits!
Throughout the day there will also be music, dancing and a whole host of kid-friendly attractions.
The farm, which is celebrating its 40th birthday this year, has indoor and outdoor play areas, a toboggan run, and over 300 animals. Visitors can take a ride on Tex the Tractor to watch the cows being milked, meet the Meerkat family, get up close and personal with some farmyard friends and see a critter show with animals such as chinchillas and Bearded Dragons.
Lee Valley Park Farms Manager James Broomfield said: “We expect a big crowd to come and see Captain Barnacles and Kwazii, as well as T-Rex dinosaur Pete! We usually have an annual event with special characters and this year we have been lucky to have the Octonauts come and see us at the farms. I am sure it will be a great fun filled day and Captain Barnacles and Kwazii will be a huge success!”
