According to the South Wales Evening Post a six-month-old baby has been rescued from a hot parked car by police in Swansea.

The alarm was raised yesterday lunchtime, as temperatures reached 25 degrees. Concerned shoppers at Swansea’s Parc Morfa looked on, as officers broke the window of the car and lifted the baby to safety.

The mother had been shopping in a nearby supermarket with another child.

The baby was taken to Morriston Hospital to be checked over but is understood to be unharmed.
