National Picnic Week takes place on 11th – 19th June and Mountain Warehouse is encouraging Brits to get outside and enjoy some outdoor dining with friends and family.
A survey recently carried out by the outdoor clothing and equipment retailer found that traditional childhood pastimes such as climbing trees and picnicking are being forgotten.
The survey found that 50% of British children are spending less time outdoors than their parents did at the same age, while over a third (34%) of modern families said they have never had a teddy bear picnic outdoors.
With the best of the British weather just around the corner (we hope!), now is the perfect time to prise the kids off the sofa and into the great outdoors.
To celebrate the start of National Picnic Week, Mountain Warehouse have asked 2,000 families across the UK to share their favourite outdoor locations. So grab your scotch eggs, shake out your picnic blanket and head over to one of these beautiful spots for the best of the British al fresco eating.
