Plans for a new Primary school in North Colchester go on show on Wednesday 17th September.

Essex County Council and the Department for Education have responded to the ever-increasing demands for school spaces in North Colchester.

The school (holding up to 420 pupils) would be built on the land off the Northern Approach Road and adjacent to the old Severalls hospital site.

The school plans show that there would be 14 classrooms, a library, group rooms and a multi-purpose hall.

There would also be outdoor play areas, a grass playing field and staff car park.

The public exhibition will be held at The Chairman’s Suite, Colchester United Football Ground, United Way, Colchester, from 3pm to 7pm.

Representatives from the council, the building contractor and the architect will be on hand to discuss the proposals.

A planning application will be made in a few weeks’ time.
