Here’s how to make a Mr Twit beard:

The money raised by World Book Day will be used to send books to schools and libraries in Africa. Last year, children in the UK raised AN INCREDIBLE £120,000 for Book Aid International. That was enough money to send 60,000 books to communities where children have very few opportunities to read.

Book Aid International Head of Fundraising Hannah Watson explained:

“These books have the potential to be life-changing, particularly for pupils who may never even have held a new book before. In many of the communities where we work, children don’t have books at home and their schools may have only a few old textbooks.

“Marking World Book Day is a great way to bring books into these children’s lives while bringing Africa into classrooms across the UK. We hope that schools will join us on 2nd March in making 2017 the best World Book Day yet for readers across Africa and in the UK.”
